After a successful performance at Silverstone, McLaren is optimistic about the Hungarian weekend…
Lando Norris: “Hungary is leading the way, where the last series of double events will start before the summer break. It’s nice to be on the podium at Silverstone, we’ll work hard to keep the results high.
Last week I visited the base of the team with the engineers to prepare for Hungary. I look forward to the opportunity to evaluate our speed in the next phase. Hungaroring is a difficult and interesting circuit and Budapest is a beautiful city, I am really looking forward to this stage.”
Oscar Piastri: “I am satisfied with our performance in the UK. The refinement of the car allowed us to progress, we collected a lot of data for work on the next race.
Last week I worked on the simulator at our base, made preparations, learned from experience to make sure we take the next step.
I look forward to returning to the Hungaroring. Some parts of this route are quite difficult, but we like to solve complex problems. I hope I can get good results again in Budapest.”
Andrea Stella, Team Principal: “Following the successful British Grand Prix, we are excited to head to Hungary where we will try to maintain momentum and continue our journey to reach the maximum performance of the MCL60.
The circuit in Budapest is completely different from Silverstone. There are many slow turns. It will be a new test for the updated MCL60. We are firmly on the ground but looking forward to a productive weekend.”
