Valtteri Bottas hopes he will have a chance to earn points in the Hungarian leg of the season, because firstly, the Hungaroring track should theoretically suit the modernized Alfa Romeo car, and secondly, the fan support gives him extra energy.
Valtteri Bottas: “It has long been a tradition that many Finns come to Hungary to watch this race, but the local fans always give us an incredibly warm welcome. Let’s hope all this will give us extra strength next weekend.
Thanks to the novelties presented at Silverstone, we managed to improve, and there we already collected a lot of information about their work, and after the British phase of the championship, when we analyzed everything, we understood how, thanks to the optimal settings, we could achieve an additional increase in speed. In particular, we are talking about the amount of ground clearance, but also about other parameters.
But the Hungaroring is a completely different circuit, you need a lot more downforce here and the maximum speed on the straights plays a less important role. I think all this could help us in theory, or at least we hope so. The whole team will continue to work hard to get back to the top ten.”
