Logan Sargent: I see progress and that’s the most important thing

The Williams team performed quite confidently in the previous stage of the season at Silverstone: Alex Albon took 8th place and his partner, Logan Sargent, finished just one step away from the top ten. At the FIA press conference at the Hungaroring, the American driver said he feels progress, although he admitted that this track is not the best fit for the FW45.

Logan Sargent: “I think I’m going in the right direction, although I’m not yet performing at the level I want to reach and there’s still a lot of work to be done. But I see progress, and that’s the most important thing.

Of course I will do my best to perform as best as possible and although the Hungarian circuit is not ideal for our car, we will try to get the most out of the FW45 and hope to find the best approach for the new qualifying format.

At the Hungaroring we have to temper our expectations anyway after two pretty good weekends, but there can always be a chance to get some good results. Until we start working on the track, it’s usually hard to predict anything, but we’re optimistic.”
