Sutton Trust is a new Mercedes partner

The Mercedes team has unveiled its new partner, the Sutton Trust, a social mobility charity that aims to make it easier for the less fortunate to access quality education and promote their employment.

In 2020, Mercedes announced the launch of the five-year Accelerate 25 programme, which aims to increase the diversity of the team’s workforce, and its partnership with Sutton Trust will help it operate successfully in three areas related to the choice of technical professions, career development , as well as the organization of summer courses.

To date, more than 50,000 young people have benefited from support from the Sutton Trust to continue their education in fields such as engineering, medicine and law. Each year, the Foundation’s programs cover more than 8,000 students.

The partnership between Mercedes and Sutton Trust will allow students to do internships at the Brackley base and team specialists will participate in summer courses run by the foundation and do practical exercises.

Paul Mills, Head of Human Resources at Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Ltd said: “I am delighted that Sutton Trust, a new team partner, will be joining our Accelerate 25 programme. Together we hope to help young people take the next step towards build a good education and careers.”
