Formula 1 has announced a five-year extension of the contract with the organizers of the Hungarian Grand Prix. The current agreement meant that the race at the Hungaroring would be held until 2027, but under the new contract Formula 1 will continue to come to Hungary at least until 2032.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1: “An extension of the contract for the Hungarian Grand Prix for another five years is great news. The Hungaroring is a special course near the beautiful Budapest. All riders and fans are always looking forward to this stage.
It’s nice to see Hungarian promoters striving to improve the autodrome’s infrastructure and conditions for spectators. This is another important step as we want the organizers of all stages to work to make the races better.”
The Hungarian Grand Prix has been a fixture on the Formula 1 calendar since 1986.
