Williams didn’t earn any points in Hungary, but they were happy with the race…
Alex Albon: “The 11th place is an unexpected result. We came to Hungary knowing that the track was not right for our car, but I managed to gain a few places. On the Hungaroring it is important that there is a clear track in front of you. I made an early pit stop, got into a clear area and gradually brought the tires into working range, then they provided good grip and could hold back faster cars.
We identified areas where we were inferior to rivals, and while the car wasn’t effective enough, it allowed us to fight rivals.
Logan Sargent (18th): “Honestly, I’m pretty happy with how the race went. A bit of bad luck – a hiccup at the pit stop led to a loss of time, but overall the pace was good. On a track that doesn’t suit our car, Alex was close to the top ten, which makes us optimistic for the Spa race.
