In the final round in Hungary, Red Bull Racing recorded a twelfth consecutive win and set a new record in Formula 1. Team drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez are determined to continue their winning streak during the upcoming race weekend in Belgium.
Max Verstappen: “I’m looking forward to the sprint weekend in Belgium. Judging by the forecast, we are waiting for a rainy weekend. We’ll see what effect it has, but usually the rain makes the race in Spa more interesting and chaotic.
Spa is my favorite circuit on the calendar so I’m looking forward to the podium and meeting the fans. The weekend should be interesting. Let’s see how our car performs in fast corners.
I have fond memories of Spa. We come to this podium after a great team result in Hungary and I hope to get another high result in the last weekend before the summer break.”
Sergio Perez: “It’s great that the team won in Hungary. It is simply incredible to contribute to this historic achievement for Formula 1. I am proud to be a part of the team and our collective success. Everyone did a fantastic job over the weekend, giving their best and being rewarded for their efforts.
In Belgium you have to take a step forward from the start of the weekend and demonstrate high speed. The weather can make things difficult at times, but that’s how it is at Spa and the sprint format means less training.
As usual, I will continue to attack with all my might and try to get the best possible result.”
