After finishing his Formula 1 career, Nico Rosberg did not stop racing completely. The 2016 World Champion has his own Rosberg X Racing team in the Extreme E electric series. Niko is mainly responsible for the overall development of the team and attracting sponsors, but recently did not deny himself the pleasure of testing the car on the off-road version of the Nürburgring track, located near the team base.
It was Nico Rosberg’s first experience driving such racing equipment and he was delighted: “I’ve had a phenomenal experience! I can’t believe how powerful this car is. Offroad piloting is a lot of fun.
I didn’t ride for a while, but I was in my element right away. Muscle memory came right back and I just loved driving. Rally racing is completely different from track racing and I have a renewed respect for our team drivers Michaela Olin-Kottulinski and Johan Kristofferson.”
