Christian Horner: Max wants to win everything!

In Belgium, Max Verstappen took his eighth win in a row and has already won ten races in total this year, not counting Saturday’s sprint victories – Christian Horner, the head of Red Bull Racing, of course does not skimp on the praise of its rider.

“We had a great weekend at Spa, we won both the sprint and the Grand Prix, and the team really dominated the race by securing a double,” Horner told Austria’s ServusTV. “Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez did a great job, but the whole team also did a great job, including the staff at the base in Milton Keynes.

Max wants to win everything and he sees everything that happens on the track, for example he knows when it is possible to make a pit stop without losing position. He is aware of everything that happens around him during the race.

He works in the cockpit and constantly informs the team about his requests. This suggests that he has a large supply of strength and energy even when leading the race. He analyzes everything that happens on the track, the condition of the tires, the actions of other riders and maybe even has time to think about what he would eat for dinner.

Our team did not even dream of winning all races of the season yet, but now we want to build on this success and continue the winning streak in Zandvoort, because in the Netherlands we are waiting for another great weekend.

After the summer break, the team returns with fresh energy and fighting spirit for the remaining races of the season.”
