Alex Albon, who last scored points at the Miami Grand Prix in May, said the team hadn’t brought any technical innovations for a long time. Williams is preparing major updates for the British Grand Prix and Alex is counting on them to help solve the FW44’s balance problem.
Alex Albon: “All the teams are adjusting the cars and we haven’t had any major updates in a long time. The balance of the car is a weak point, but there are other less obvious problems that need to be solved first.
We agreed that the next innovations will focus on improving the machine’s cornering performance. I hope updates will allow us to add more in this section. On some circuits, this problem is a serious hindrance, such as in the high-speed and narrow chicanes of Montreal. We cannot find a compromise in the institutions, which only aggravates the situation.
