Sebastien Loeb, the driver with the most titles in the history of world rally sport, has decided to say goodbye to his McLaren LT675 Spider sports car. The nine-time WRC champion’s car will go up for auction on September 15, which will be held by the auction house RM Sotheby’s in St. Moritz, Switzerland.
A 2017 Chicane Gray sports car with a black and orange leather interior is expected to go under the hammer for around 330,000 euros. Of course, the value of the car is influenced not only by its equipment, technical data and condition, but by two more important factors: such McLaren with a two-seater body type “roadster” or “spider” were produced in a limited edition of only 500 copies, but more importantly, that the previous owner was the legendary Sebastien Loeb himself.
The digital index of the model is due to the fact that the sports car is equipped with a 675 hp 3.8 liter V8 engine with two turbines. Other highlights include a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, stepless shifting and carbon-ceramic brakes.
The LT675 Spider accelerates to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 326 km/h.
Loeb bought the car in 2019, but he has not driven it very actively, so only 8840 km on the clock. Presumably, with such a history, McLaren might be of interest to some of the wealthy motorsport fans.
