Three-time Formula 1 champion Jackie Stewart spoke about the Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton . The racing legend has urged the Briton to retire while he is still near his peak.
“Now it’s a bit difficult for him because he has a new team-mate who has been faster than him in qualifying this year, which he will struggle to deal with. I think it’s time for Hamilton to take his retirement.
Too bad he didn’t retire at the peak of his career, but I don’t think that will happen now. But, nevertheless, it is wiser to quit than to experience all the pain of not being able to do what you were doing before. I wish he retired now,” Stewart said on the Convex Conversation podcast.
Hamilton is sixth in the drivers standings this season.
