Music by Charles Leclerc broadcast on Classic FM

The specialist sports press and of course the tabloid publications write about most racers, if not. And the well-known British radio station Classic FM showed interest in Charles Leclerc, who, as the name implies, specializes in music of serious genres and styles.

Of course, this is not due to his undoubted talent for speed, but to other activities of Charles, which he considers no more than a hobby.

“My whole life since the age of 4, when I started racing, has been about speed. But I realized that music is the best way to slow down and disconnect from the world of motorsport, Charles said in an interview with Classic FM. – During the pandemic, I bought a piano, started learning to play it and immediately fell in love with this instrument.

In the beginning I took several lessons to master music notation, and I succeeded. But very soon I wanted to write my own songs – that’s how it all started. And now between races I always try to take my mind off racing through music, and I love that.

When I shared the story on social media that I played a piece of my own composition on the piano, the fans reacted very positively. It inspired me to record my music so that it would be easier for the public to listen to.

So far, two things written by Charles are available: in April there was AUS23, written after the race in Melbourne, where he stopped immediately after the start, in May – MIA23, in which the Ferrari driver wanted to express his emotions after a failed racing in Miami.

This weekend Mylène Klass, host of Classic FM, included both pieces by Charles Leclerc in her Calm Classic program, about which the rider did not fail to tell fans via social networks.
