McLaren Racing chief executive Zack Brown recognizes Max Verstappen’s talent and believes the title fight would be more intense if there were “two Peres” in Red Bull.
Zach Brown: “A lot of people think Red Bull is the fastest at the moment, but Max is the fastest. At the moment this is an unbeatable combination – Max and Red Bull. Verstappen and the team make no mistakes.
If there were two Perez in Red Bull, with all due respect to him, the battle for the title would be much more intense.
If we take Max’s victories out of the championship and give them to the riders who finished second in these races, the situation in the individual classification would be completely different.
We had second, Ferrari had second, Mercedes, Sergio – without Max, five different teams would have won before the summer break. I think that will be the case if we all catch up with Red Bull.”
