Bruno Famin on Alpine’s strategy and the need for change

Interim Alpine Team Principal Bruno Famin explained why it was necessary to lay down management during the season…

Bruno Famin: “Alpine is a fantastic and very ambitious project for us, with plans for its development, with the promotion of new products. This is very interesting to me as I am a motorsport driver and Alpine’s global strategy is based on motorsport, mainly Formula 1.

Two weeks ago, senior management made the decision to move forward to the second phase of the project with some changes to strengthen the brand and brand. When it turned out halfway through the season that the results did not meet expectations, we made a decision that we thought was logical. We are focused on success, we want to progress faster, have more chances to achieve our goals.

It is not the position of the team leader that interests me, but the project itself. Carrying out a project, turning a good team into a winning team is an exciting task.

These changes do not affect the development of the new machine. I have no doubt that all Weary and Enstone employees know what they are supposed to do. They are focused on improving the car across the board.”
