Jehan Daruvala completed two days of McLaren testing

Red Bull youth program member Jehan Daruvala made his debut behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car after spending two days working on McLaren’s private testing at Silverstone.

The British team did not provide details, but the rider himself posted photos of the track on social networks and commented on previous races. Interestingly, in the photos, last year’s McLaren MCL35M is painted in the team’s current colours, but there are no sponsor logos on it.

Jehan Daruwala: “I really enjoyed the first experience of driving a Formula 1 car. I felt right at home and although the load was higher compared to the cars I’ve driven in the past, I had no problems with the physical the form.

We have done a good job and completed the planned programme. I’ve done long and short laps with full and empty tanks on different rubber compounds. It helped me better understand how the teams work over the race weekend.

In general, I am very satisfied with the two test days and the distance covered. I felt I was approaching the limit of my capabilities with each lap and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of Formula 1 again.”
