Like any good driver, Nico Hulkenberg always dreamed of success in Formula 1, but it so happened that in his long career in the World Championship, he never took the podium, although he came close to it several times. Admittedly, in 2015 he won the 24 Hours of Le Mans, speaking for the Porsche works team, which only confirms the level of his skill.
But it turns out that Niko had another dream: he wanted to own a bar. If his sporting ambitions have not yet been fully realized, it seems that everything in the hospitality industry is developing more successfully.
Today Niko posted on his pages on social networks several photos that were taken in the picturesque surroundings of Cologne on the territory of the Kupfersifer Tal nature reserve.
Here’s what he writes: “The dream of a lifetime has come true – becoming a bar owner. Definitely a special place as it’s just a small part of my new big project, which I’m working on in my home region near Cologne.
Together with Olli, my business partner, we bought an old windmill, renovated it and converted it into a place where you can always celebrate different events.
It was not easy, because the mill is more than 200 years old and is under state protection as a historical monument. In addition, it is located on the territory of the reserve. But the whole site now looks really nice and from this year on it can host weddings, corporate events, all kinds of parties and other events.”
Of course, fans who followed Niko’s activities on social networks immediately began to comment on the news, including adding other related news topics to the first syllable of his last name, and funny constructions such as Hülkenbar or Hülken beer were obtained.
The Kupfersiefer Mühle is located just half an hour east of Cologne and will certainly not be empty, given the fame of the owner.
