The debut season is going well for Oscar Piastri. He scored half as many points as veteran team-mate Lando Norris, but three consecutive high-scoring races before the summer break gave him confidence.
Oscar Piastri: “I haven’t changed my approach over the course of the season, even when we were fighting to the back of the pack, and not at the front like now. In the battle for higher goals, motivation increases, but the hard work and business approach remain the same.
I always try to get the best out of myself and the car, whether I’m fighting for third or 15th, although it’s much nicer to be on the podium after the race.
Over the course of the season we have tried to earn points in some races, but now we can fight for the podium – the progress is clear. Being able to take high positions on different circuits and in different conditions gives a lot of confidence.”
