Last year Lotus introduced the fully electric Lotus Evija Fittipaldi hypercar, in honor of Emerson Fittipaldi’s first title in 1972 with the Lotus team.
Today the personalized Lotus Evija will show on The Quail Jenson Button. Distinctive styling and a unique color scheme pays homage to the 2009 championship-winning Brawn GP.
Like all Evijas, Button’s car is custom built and based on a specification he has chosen after consultation with the Lotus Design team. The number 22 is printed on the housing of the folding wing mirror, Jenson’s racing number from that great season, and it is duplicated on the inner door trim.
An aluminum strip running vertically down the center of the seat is laser engraved with the dates and locations of all of the British driver’s 15 Formula 1 victories.
Jenson Button «The car looks great, the colors mean a lot to me. The Lotus team did a fantastic job with the design idea we came up with. They have created a real masterpiece.”
