Mario Andretti thinks F1 has enough American rounds

In 2023, the Formula 1 calendar will have three rounds in the US. The race in Miami has already taken place at the beginning of May and the Grand Prix will be held in Austin and Las Vegas in the autumn. 1978 World Champion Mario Andretti believes that it is not worth increasing the number of races in the United States in the future.

“There is no other country in the world that hosts three Formula 1 events, so we should be happy with this number of races and try to get the most out of it,” Racingnews365 quoted Mario Andretti as saying. “I mean, in a way it’s important not to overdo it and not to outdo yourself.

In Las Vegas, Formula 1 bought a piece of land from the city and is building infrastructure for the circuit. This suggests that the race has a future, which is very important as the city stages appear on the calendar as well as off it. But in the case of Las Vegas, it’s not just one weekend, which is great. As a Formula 1 fan, I see this as a reason to be happy.”
