Ferrari finished the first half of the season in fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship, 56 points behind Mercedes, the second team in the championship. Scuderia driver Charles Leclerc believes his team will still be able to get ahead of rivals and take second place before the end of the season.
“Our realistic goal for the second half of the season should be to finish second in the Constructors’ Championship, although it won’t be easy,” Charles Leclerc told Racingnews365. “The McLaren team is back in the fray and Mercedes has always been strong. Aston Martin has dropped back a bit lately, but I have no doubt they will add.
Like I said, our goal is second place. We will have new items in the second half of the season. I hope the updates will influence the joining of forces and help us achieve our goal.”
