One of the goals that Oscar Piastri sets himself for the remaining 10 races of the season is to eliminate steering errors, which indicates a very self-critical attitude towards himself and his results.
“The goals remain the same: to keep increasing the speed, getting the race to the finish and also just trying to eliminate at least some of their mistakes.
In most sessions I already manage to get close to Lando Norris, but I want to take the next step and compete with him on an equal footing. I will try to achieve this and keep working on myself. I am already satisfied that I have reached this level, but it seems to me that I can achieve more.
While some situations that occur during the races cannot be reproduced (on a simulator), you can only learn how to deal with them if you gain racing experience. Therefore, in order to avoid problems on the track, we must try to learn this or that thing in the first place, but at the same time always try to learn something new, and not to stagnate and go through the same thing too often.
But I suppose none of this depends on how successful our team is, or the capabilities of our car. Of course, if you manage to sit in a favorable position, then you can dream of podiums, at least one, but we’ll see.
I just want to gain as much new knowledge as possible every weekend and feel like I did my best.”
