Frederic Vasseur: “We still have some new features for the SF-23 this year, which we will present later, but it is important to note that the 2024 car will have a different chassis. It will be completely different, it will inherit some details from the SF-23, but not in the chassis and body.
This year Red Bull cars are stronger than us in all areas. They get the best out of all factors: riders, engine, chassis, aerodynamics, suspension, strategy. But it would be wrong to say that they are much better than us in some area. On the contrary, it is we who should try to make the most of what we have – in every field, everywhere to take a small step forward.
There are still 18 months before the end of the contracts with the drivers, but we want to clarify the situation with the team before the start of the next season. That means we have to discuss everything before the end of the year, but we still have 4 to 5 months to make a decision.”
