In an interview organized by the press service ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, Ferrari team boss Frederic Wasseur was asked to comment on Felipe Massa’s legal claims against the FIA and Formula 1 over Nelsinho Piquet’s deliberate crash in Singapore in 2008.
Felipe then played for Ferrari and is now calling for a review of the results, but Vasseur disagrees…
Frederic Wasser: “I don’t want to comment on it. I have good relations with all the participants in these events, the situation is quite complicated, you could say unique.
Speaking generally, and not Felipe, we at Ferrari always try to pressure the FIA to declare the result immediately after the black and white checkered flag. Changing the result of the 2008 race now will seem strange. I’m not a big fan of changing the result even 15 minutes after the finish.”
