Logan Sargent: Mistakes cost me a lot

Logan Sargent admitted that in the first half of his debut season at Williams he made mistakes that prevented him from showing the results he was capable of. But in the remaining races he and the team will do everything they can to improve the situation.

Logan Sargent: “During the summer break I had time to analyze the early part of the season, when I had to understand the magnitude of the difficulties to be overcome and figure out what I needed to improve. But at the same time I tried to enjoy my work.

Now I know what to do in the second half of the championship. Over the holidays I’ve had a chance to rebuild in some way, and I expect that when I get back behind the wheel I’ll be able to attack at full force and aim for better results.

Over the course of my debut season, I made a lot of mistakes that happened at the wrong time, and it cost me a lot. I think I can avoid such mistakes and perform more consistently. If I manage to reach a level that I can reach, that I have no doubts about, then everything will be fine.

On some weekends, from the very first practice, it was felt that the car was already behaving better – this was exactly the case at Silverstone, for example. But in Hungary and Spa it was not easy for us, but we must not give up hope, try to achieve optimal car settings at every stage of the season, and I hope that together with the team I still get the chance to good result.

And if I manage to improve myself, keep working on myself and prove that a big step forward has been made in the second half of the season, then I don’t have to worry about my future.

Although, judging by the characteristics of the Zandvoort circuit, we are in for a difficult weekend, to put it mildly, let’s see what the weather will be like and try to take full advantage of the conditions. But again, in theory, this number doesn’t suit us in the best way.
