Hamilton: If Red Bull makes a mistake, I’ll be there

On Thursday at Zandvoort, Lewis Hamilton spoke about the fight against Max Verstappen…

Lewis Hamilton “I’m trying to prepare for the moment when our car will challenge Max and beat him. Right now the only way to do this is to make the most of the potential mistakes they almost never make, but if they do I’ll be there.

My goal for the second half of the season is to have ten of the best races I’ve ever driven in the second half of the season. Of course we know that in terms of speed we cannot count on lightning victories, we have to earn points every weekend, keep second place in the Constructors’ Championship and chase Pérez! It’s my goal.”

Lewis also commented on Charles Leclerc’s comment that Red Bull will dominate until the regulations changes in 2026…

Lewis Hamilton «No changes to the regulations are expected in the near future, so I hope he is wrong.

Yes, now they are way ahead and most likely a few months before everyone else started developing a new car. They have a 100 to 200 point lead over the competition, so it’s very possible that Charles is right, but we’re doing our best to close the gap. Let’s see what happens next year.”
