On Friday, the Red Bull Racing drivers were not yet completely satisfied with the car’s behavior due to oversteer, but they expect to add to that on Saturday…
Max Verstappen (2nd): “Good day. We tried a few new things, we had to improve in some areas, to find a better balance, but overall the car drove well, even in long runs.
Our car has great potential, I hope tomorrow everything will go better and we will be faster in qualifying. Looking forward to tomorrow to get behind the wheel again. It is very nice to see the orange colors in the stands, I feel this support.”
Sergio Perez (7th): “Positive Friday and again very solid results. We have gathered a lot of information and tried different high fuel tire compounds which will help the team.
We are competitive, looking forward to continuing the weekend. It’s important to keep that momentum going into tomorrow’s qualifying, to put in clean fast laps and to show a high race pace throughout the race.
On Sunday a lot depends on how qualifying goes, but we have a fast car, we have to be good in qualifying and in the race.”
