Red Bull Racing boss Christian Horner told Sky Sport F1 that Daniel Ricciardo had flown to Barcelona this morning for possible surgery on his broken arm and should be back for the Singapore Grand Prix in three weeks.
Christian Horner: “We know from MotoGP races how quickly these guys recover. Today he went to Barcelona. Perhaps tomorrow he will undergo minor surgery to repair the fracture.
The average person recovers in 10 to 12 weeks, but these guys are not average. Everything will depend on the recovery process. How long will it take? Three weeks? Month? Or maybe six weeks? Nobody knows for sure.
Daniel is very angry that he couldn’t race anymore. He rested for a long time, just got into shape and went back to work, and now he will again observe from the side what is happening. He is very upset by this, as his team is just starting to achieve success. I know he really wanted to compete in Singapore, on one of the toughest circuits. I hope it is.”
