This victory at Zandvoort was the ninth in a row for the 25-year-old Dutch driver. His previous victories were at the Miami Grand Prix, Monaco Grand Prix, Spanish Grand Prix, Canadian Grand Prix, Austrian Grand Prix, British Grand Prix, Hungary and the Belgian Grand Prix.
Thus, Verstappen overtook the record of the German Sebastian Vettel and the Italian Alberto Ascari.
