Ferrari has confirmed that they are not preparing any new products for Imola, as it will be a weekend with a sprint on Saturday and basically just one training session, during which you have to prepare the car for Friday’s qualifying.
Mattia Binotto, Team Principal: “At Imola it would be difficult to place the new items and evaluate their performance during the only Friday practice where you have to focus on getting the car ready for the qualifying session in the afternoon.
In Imola we will have almost no new products, but we will try to solve the problems that hindered the past races, especially the build-up of the car. Major updates are planned for later races.
I’m a little surprised at how well we started this season. We have worked really hard on the car for 2022, we have a great team – I hoped the car would be competitive from the start of the season, but I couldn’t expect it to end like this.
But I still believe that the difference between us and the rivals is very small, so in the next races we will see another interesting fight.
