Leclerc: I have problems with the balance of the car

Carlos Sainz led the minutes of the second session of free practice at the Italian Grand Prix. According to the Spanish Ferrari driver, the first day of the race weekend confirmed that the circuit in Monza is suitable for the SF-23.

His teammate Charles Leclerc finished sixth on the scoresheet and said he was suffering from problems with the car’s balance.

Carlos Sainz (1st): “Overall a positive Friday for the team. Apparently the speed returned to the car this weekend and the track characteristics suited us better.

Today is only Friday, and tomorrow will not be easy, because the fight is very fierce – several cars are moving within a few tenths. We will try to add more, especially to a long series of circles – in this area we have the opportunity to improve.

It’s great to do a pilot for the great fans in Monza! We will keep attacking!”

Charles Leclerc (6th): “Overall a pretty tough day. We showed quite good speed, but I had problems with the balance. Tomorrow we will work on this topic, especially short sequences of circles. The car looks better with full tanks.”
