The Spaniard’s best lap time is 1 minute 20.912 seconds.
Second was reigning world champion and leader of the driver standings, Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull, +0.086), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes, +0.541) closed the top three.
Qualifying on the Monza track will take place later on Saturday. The Italian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday.
