McLaren Racing CEO Zack Brown assured his team’s drivers are determined to be aggressive but correct at the Italian Grand Prix.
Zach Brown: “We knew Monza wouldn’t be easy for us, but the team did a great job. We are pleased with McLaren’s progress overall and how our company is doing this weekend.
We managed to increase the maximum speed on the straights, but first we normally have to overcome the first lap and let’s hope the start will be clean. The weather is warmer today, so we’ll see how this affects tire wear, if it will be higher than we expect. In any case, we will try to act aggressively on the track.
Our riders start not far from each other and understand very well that in relation to a partner you have to be right, but they know how to do it all, Lando and Oscar work together quite effectively.
In this race, a lot will depend on the slipstream, on the use of DRS, etc. As for the first turn, everyone can have difficulties there, so you just have to try to avoid problems and then find your rhythm.
