Athletistic/ Formula 1. The Italian Grand Prix stewards have fined seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes and Logan Sargent of Williams for incidents at the Italian Grand Prix held today (3 September) at Monza .
Sixth-placed Hamilton was found guilty of a collision with McLaren’s Australian Oscar Piastri, the Briton picking up a five-second penalty, as well as two penalty points. He now has four penalty points over the past 12 months.
Sargent, who finished 13th, was found guilty of contact with Alfa Romeo driver Valtteri Bottas and was also handed a five-second, two-point penalty.
