Steiner: Our car is not competitive

Haas F1 had an unsuccessful performance in Monza, the team’s riders closed protocol…

Gunther Steiner, Team boss: “I have nothing to say about it, except that the car is simply not fast enough. We always try our best, but the car lacks efficiency, which prevents us from fighting with rivals.

Nico Hulkenberg (17th): “The only positive thing about this weekend was the start. We had no speed, no efficiency, no balance, no rubber work. This weekend we were still a long way from claiming points.

In Zandvoort we made some progress, the feeling was that we were moving forward. In two weeks Singapore will need as much downforce as Zandvoort, hopefully our speed will be back.”

Kevin Magnussen (18th): “Maybe this is the worst race of the season. We had no speed and balance, the tires were deteriorating quickly. We have a lot to do to deal with this – in the third practice we were seventh and today we were last.
