The Monza round was the fifth in a row that the Haas riders finished without any points earned. Immediately after the finish, boss Günther Steiner called the car uncompetitive and Nico Hulkenberg said the team would need a miracle to turn things around this season.
“The situation seems that Williams has already put us ahead,” said Nico Hulkenberg, Racingnews365. “She and McLaren have made tremendous progress this year. I don’t know how we can change the situation. Only a miracle can help us.”
Agree with Niko and his partner Kevin Magnussen: “We are behind the competition, and were the only team not to bring anything to Monza. If you do little, you should not count on much. In Monza we were still a long way from earning points.
This state of affairs is sad, but you have to accept the situation and move on. Perhaps the circuit in Singapore suits us better. I don’t expect anything great, but next time I’ll have a new front wing again, so I’m cautiously optimistic.”
