The world premiere of the hour and a half documentary ‘Whatever it Takes’ about the AlphaTauri team took place in Venice on Wednesday.
Directed by Italian director Luca Curto, the film traces the team’s history since its F1 debut in 2006, featuring behind-the-scenes work at the bases in Faenza and Great Britain, and interviews with drivers and key team members.
Today’s premiere was attended by team principal Franz Tost, CEO Peter Bayer, technical director Joddy Egginton, driver Yuki Tsunoda and other team members. They arrived at the show in one of the famous Venetian gondolas, along with last year’s AT03 car.
Francis Toast: “We got a really interesting photo that reveals a lot of details behind the scenes. I think these are the kind of documentaries that Formula 1 fans want to see.
The photo shows the great work of the team – not only on Sunday during races, but also during technical training, the work of the marketing departments and the press service. The interaction between all departments must be well coordinated to ensure successful work on race weekend days.
Yuki Tsunoda: “In the movie I saw a lot of things I didn’t know before: how the team works, how much time and effort it takes to put two cars on the starting line. I am honored to be one of two AlphaTauri riders and pilot such a high-tech machine.
I can say that AlphaTauri has had many great riders who have achieved incredible success. After watching I am even more inspired and motivated to fight until the end of the season.”
The TV premiere of What it Takes is expected to air soon on Sky Italy.
