This weekend Yuki Tsunoda, along with past Red Bull Racing stars Sebastian Vettel and David Coulthard, will compete in the Formula Nuerburgring show, which will take place at the legendary German circuit, also known as the Nordschleife and the Green Hell.
By the way, these regions have not heard the roar of engines of Formula 1 cars for more than ten years, but, as always, the program of the Red Bull show will not only include demonstration races of cars of the royal class. For example, today Yuki got to know the track while driving a Honda NSX GT3 Evo sports car.
“This is my first time driving the Nordschleife, and it’s a real pleasure! – said the Japanese rider AlphaTauri. – I’m driving a real beast here, Honda NSX GT3! This is my first experience on this circuit driving a racing car, so sometimes I get a little nervous…”
Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel said of the upcoming show in his own way: “I got to drive the RB7, the 2011 car, which I then called Kinky Kylie (“Alluring Kylie”). T-shirts and hoodies dedicated to this event will go on sale tomorrow and will be released in limited edition, so it’s better to hurry.
I’ll tell you more about the event itself: I’m driving the same car as the 2011 model, so now I have to check everything and prepare for tomorrow’s races. Luckily I’m still fit until I get fat so I fit in her chair – it’s the same chair by the way!
All the sensations of driving the RB7 immediately came back to me – it is clear that the Formula 1 cars at that time were smaller than the modern generation vehicles, so they are lighter and more agile. I have a lot of fond memories of this car, the races were fun back then, so I plan to have fun again!
Daniel Ricciardo was also due to compete in the Red Bull show, but was injured in training at Zandvoort, so the Australian was replaced by David Coulthard.
In addition, ex-Formula 1 drivers Gerhard Berger and Ralf Schumacher, as well as Matthias Lauda, the son of Niki Lauda, will participate in the demonstration races of the Formula Nürburgring.
