The former camper place of Villeneuve and Button is for sale

“Would you like to become the next proud owner of Jenson Button’s famous camper?” – with these words begins an announcement on the British Alltrack website, dedicated to a very interesting offer designed for wealthy Formula 1 fans.

We are talking about The Icon camper manufactured by the American company Newell Coach Corp. Model Newell 450, designed and built in 1998 on special order by Jacques Villeneuve, the current world champion at the time. They say this is the first mobile home of its kind costing more than $1 million. But the Canadian was not the only world champion to use it, as the bus later went to Jenson Button.

In terms of equipment, a specific vehicle can compete with an expensive cottage: darkened windows, a kitchen with all necessary appliances and a large refrigerator, a washing machine, air conditioning, heated granite floors, a wardrobe, a double bed and a high-quality Bose audio system. In general there is what is there, there is even a prefabricated terrace, equipped with folding furniture, which is placed next to the camper when the weather is nice.

The bus is powered by a 450 hp Newell diesel engine and has an automatic transmission. Internal area – 46 m². meters, which is quite comparable to a small apartment, only the level of comfort is clearly higher.

All this slightly used luxury, which has changed more than one owner in a quarter of a century, costs 99 thousand euros.
