Of the remaining races of the season, the weekend in Singapore is likely to be one of the toughest as the city circuit typically sees the battle intensify and results tighten. I’m not even talking about heat and high humidity.
Last year we were unlucky in Singapore, but hopefully this time things will go a little better and we will of course do our best to earn as many points as possible.”
Sergio Perez: “I’m looking forward to returning from Singapore, where I had perhaps one of the best races of my career a year ago. Due to the heat, the difficult conditions on the track and the need to maintain extreme concentration, we had a very difficult time. Of course I would like to win the race again, but this could be difficult, because with the new configuration the speeds in the 3rd sector of the track will increase and rain is expected.
I predict it will be fun!
This weekend is my 250th Grand Prix and when I started my career I could never have imagined that I would get behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car so many times. My dream came true and all these years I have been proud to represent Mexico worldwide. Of course I want to make my fans happy this Sunday with another victory.
