After a difficult race in Monza, Esteban Ocon is focusing on the stage in Singapore. On Sunday evening, Esteban will race in Formula 1 for the second time on his birthday…
Question: The weekend in Monza was difficult for the team, how do you plan to come back?
Esteban Ocon: The Monza circuit was not suitable for our car. We were unable to qualify well and in the race we withdrew the car from the race as a precaution due to problems with the steering.
In fact, we learned a lot that weekend. Then we sat down at the table, analyzed the reasons for the lack of efficiency of the machine and drew conclusions. We remain positive and confident that we will perform better in Singapore; this circuit suits our car better.
Q: How do you prepare for one of the most physically demanding races of the season?
Esteban Ocon: The week leading up to this weekend was a busy one, with several meetings and simulator work at Enstone. I visited our base in Viri, where I held several meetings and interacted with team members.
Physically, I am working on a special program, which aims to adapt to the hot and humid conditions of Singapore.
