The FIA press office released a statement regarding the incident: “The FIA strongly condemns any racist or discriminatory expression and any behavior that has no place in sport or in society as a whole.
We stand in solidarity with Lewis Hamilton and fully support his commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion in motorsport.”
