Sargent: There are fewer turns, which should help us

Logan Sargent will experience the city circuit of the Singapore Grand Prix for the first time, although the American Williams driver admits that theoretically this is not the best fit for the FW45.

Logan Sargent: “I love night racing, and when I started playing Formula 1 computer games many years ago, I first trained on the Singapore virtual Grand Prix circuit.

I don’t know why I chose it at the time, but it was interesting to race and I always wanted to drive on the real Marina Bay circuit. I think we are in for a special weekend and I have tried to prepare for it as best as I can by training my endurance in high temperatures, but I can say that I am not experiencing any extreme sensations yet.

In my opinion, everything should be fine, since the race takes place in the evening. I may change my mind on Sunday, but at least we have made some changes to the training regime.

If we analyze the track configuration, in theory it is not the best choice for our car. Although this should help us, since there are fewer turns, but we are not particularly sure. We will try to find the optimal settings, especially because we were fast in Zandvoort, and on the Dutch circuit we also need a higher level of downforce. I hope we can show a good pace here too.”

Logan also said a few words about the prospects for his further collaboration with Williams: “To stay in the team, I have to show steady progress in the remaining races of the season and continue to make progress. I feel like I can do that and if I prepare as hard as I can every weekend I will continue to progress.”
