In the second practice session in Singapore, Liam Lawson set a 12th fastest time, and his AlphaTauri teammate Yuki Tsunoda a 16th…
Liam Lawson (12th): “Today was difficult, but that is normal on a unique circuit. I like it here, I learn a lot. It’s fun to fly with spotlights at night. Tomorrow we have to give the best of ourselves in the third training, but so far everything is going well. We have gradually increased the pace, and tomorrow we will increase it even further.
On this track it is difficult to evaluate new products – the effect will not be so noticeable, but the car has certainly become better. Now we have to figure out how to maximize this potential.”
Yuki Tsunoda (16th): “In general everything went well. In the second session there was a noticeable decrease in grip on Soft, compared to Medium I did not feel much increase, now we have to find the reason.
Singapore has a unique track, it is difficult to understand how our new products work. The car behaves better, especially the rear, but in the end everything is judged in qualifying. I’m looking forward to tomorrow.”
