Team Driver “Ferrari » Carlos Sainz became the winner of the Singapore Grand Prix qualifying.
The driver achieved the best lap in 1 minute and 30.984 seconds.
The second result was shown by George Russell in a Mercedes, and another Ferrari driver, Charles Leclerc, finished third.
Overall leader Max Verstappen of Red Bull did not qualify for the third segment of qualifying and will only start from 11th place.
Canadian Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll crashed his car during qualifying. The Canadian’s car skidded around a corner and hit the wall, after which it was thrown onto the track. The pilot was not injured and left the cockpit under his own power. Due to the accident, the first qualifying segment ended early.
The Singapore Grand Prix race will take place on Sunday.
