Canadian Aston Martin driver Lance’s Walk will not participate in the Singapore Grand Prix race due to an accident during qualifying, according to the Formula 1 team’s website.
Stroll crashed the car during the first segment of Saturday’s qualifying. The car skidded around a bend and hit the wall, after which it was thrown onto the track. The pilot himself was not injured.
“The whole team is relieved that Lance was able to get out of the car after yesterday’s accident, but he is still feeling the effects of such a violent collision. Our priority is to ensure his full and rapid recovery. “Together we decided that he would not take part in the evening race, but would concentrate entirely on his return to the cockpit for the Japanese Grand Prix next weekend,” said the racing director.
