Williams has prepared new items for the home round, including a new underbody and external aerodynamics, but they will only be putting these on Alex Albon’s car – the engineers want to know if everything is working as intended.
Alex Albon: “The race at Silverstone is home to the team and half home to me! A special track, a special atmosphere created by countless fans who came to cheer us on.
When I was eight, I got my first karting license at Silverstone. For me it all started there. This is one of the most fun circuits, if we talk about the feelings of the riders. Driving the 2020 cars should be fun.”
Nicholas Latific: “I am very happy to go to Silverstone where we are waiting for the team’s home race – the weekend will be special.
Thanks to the many fans, Silverstone always has an incredible atmosphere. It’s one of my favorite tracks on the Formula 1 calendar – grippy asphalt, high speeds and smooth, flowing turns. Looking forward to starting the weekend!”
