Red Bull motorsport adviser Helmut Marko said the Singapore team’s problem was related to tyres. Red Bull Racing will return to its usual 2023 form at the next round in Suzuka.
Helmut Marko: “I assume that our car will be fast in Suzuka. In Singapore we were unable to get the tires within range in practice and qualifying, but on Sunday we were fast again. If the safety car had come two laps earlier, Max would have won the race.”
Helmut Marko also commented on his scandalous remark to Sergio Perez, made after the Italian Grand Prix: “I hope that the incredible excitement associated with this topic will subside.
I took note of the FIA’s warning via email, although I suspect many things were done deliberately. But I don’t want to say anything further on this subject.”
