At the final round in Singapore, the McLaren team introduced technical innovations that allowed Lando Norris to finish second. Oscar Piastri is also getting updates in Japan – the Australian racer is hoping to improve his results.
Lando Norris: “Second place in Singapore is a fantastic start to the double rounds! The team worked hard to improve the car and the new products were quickly on the track. I’m happy that the MCL60 will also be available in Japan in Stealth Mode colors. Let’s see what results we can achieve.
The Japanese Grand Prix is one I’m looking forward to. The atmosphere is incredible and the fans in the stands are giving their all and being creative. I like it. Suzuka has a difficult circuit, but thanks to the configuration it is really interesting to drive. Let’s earn points!”
Oscar Piastri: “I’m very excited about my first Grand Prix in Japan – it’s great to discover a new culture. I learned Japanese at school, so now I’m curious to see how well I remember it. In addition, I look forward to meeting the fans who will greet our team in the stands. The circuit has a great atmosphere, which only adds to the excitement of the race weekend.
The track looks cool. Everyone wants to race at Suzuka and I’m looking forward to watching it for the first time this weekend. My car is getting painted in Stealth Mode colors again and I’m getting new items, which is great.
I had a high pace in Singapore, which allowed me to gain ten positions. I hope to improve my results even further and earn points again.”
