The Dutch driver’s best lap time was 1 minute 30.688 seconds.
Took second place Charles Leclerc from Ferrari (+0.320), the third was Lando Norrie s of McLaren (+0.464).
The session ended prematurely due to the accident of Alpine driver Pierre Gasly.
The third free practice and qualifying session will take place on Saturday.
